About GC
I don’t know when it was exactly, but at some point I became aware that I do a lot with ghosts. I draw them, I animate them, I make shirts of them… It was kind of an unconscious thing up to a point. GhostCaps.com was born out of two simple realizations: 1. I like to draw ghosts, and 2. I needed to do something to explore ideas, keep myself drawing, and get into a regular schedule.
My GhostCaps (short for “Ghost Captures” and similar to screencaps) are images of ghosts, or related to ghosts, which I draw and upload every day. I enjoy ghosts because, in my mind, a ghost can look like absolutely anything and still be identified as a ghost. I also think that, historically, ghosts are kind of depressingly humorous characters. Maybe I’m just being strangely positive: Maybe after you die, you can still count on living a long and awkward life, still getting picked on by, or falling in love with other ghosts. I guess we’ll find out some day! But for now, I guess I’m just trying to think of all of the possibilities so that I won’t be too freaked out down the road.
